Isaiah 43:18-19 says, "Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing." You will have read many times in recent months about Ross Paterson stepping down as international director of Antioch Missions. Ross is still very much involved, just not as international director. We see this as a new phase in the work of the ministry and we lay hold of the passage in Isaiah.
Whilst we do not want to dwell on the past, we do want to give thanks for the past. The Lord has done amazing things with Ross at the helm. In March and April, we saw a great response as Ross made two visits to Malaysia and challenged many people as he spoke at Sungei Way Subang Methodist Church (SSMC) and GA 611 Bread of Life (BOL) Church missions weekend in KL. The Word of the Lord calls for ordinary people to be willing to answer the call in going. As Ross spoke, many stood and many went forward to the altar to respond to that challenge. We are very grateful to these two churches for their hospitality, kind generosity and partnership with us in serving the church in China.
As we enter this new phase in the life of Antioch Missions' ministry, the need in China continues to be great. We are still helping the poor and needy both through our full-time workers on the ground and also through our regular visiting teams. We are still receiving requests for books by the thousands from our contacts, as well as new requests coming in from new contacts.
We now look to the future, secure in the knowledge that the Lord will do new things. We are excited as we move forward with a new Antioch Missions leadership team in place. What will not change is our call to serve the church and people of China and we hope you will work with us as we continue to do that.
So, as the Lord says in Isaiah, "See, I am doing a new thing." Do you want to see what the Lord is doing? Then why not join us on one of our short-term teams to China? Come and see what the Lord is doing in China. Get in touch with the office now for further information.
Pray that our Eternal and Everlasting God may continue to use SSMC and GA611 BOL as missional churches in all their community outreaches and to the ends of the earth for the glory of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
Pray that seeds sown in people's hearts during Ross Paterson's recent visits to Malaysia will take root. Pray that those who picked up the China prayer updates will respond in prayer.
Pray too that other Malaysian churches will know that now is the time to fulfil their calling and will go in response to the Lord's command.
Consider for youself the Word of the Lord to go and pray about joining one of our short-term teams this year.
Pray too for the new leadership team of Antioch Missions as we enter this new phase.

现在我们展望未来，确信主会做新事。我们非常高兴，有新的领导团队带领我们向前迈进。不会改变的是我们事奉中国教会和百姓的呼召，而我们希望你能够在我们继续实现这个呼召之时，与我们同工。
