In Ephesians 6:18-20, Paul asked for prayer for all the church and for himself: "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints - and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak."

The October intercession team had a special time visiting a large number of AM-CCSM's China-based co-workers, as well as travelling out into the Tibetan areas. They heard the various challenges faced by those working inside China and were able to pray into their situations and bring encouragement.

A mob of parents killed a book salesman and badly injured four of his colleagues at a primary school in Zhejiang province in late October. "The parents surrounded the five salesmen and attacked them, a police spokesman said.

Christmas

For some in China, Christmas simply means the opportunity for work. A large proportion of the gifts given by those celebrating the festival around the world are manufactured in China. In recent months, factories have increased production "to meet Christmas orders for everything from Barbie dolls to iPhones, Plasma TVs and designer jeans" (Reuters).
