Please continue to lift up the short-term mercy team that is currently in China. The team members are serving with our China-based co-workers in three different projects. They are running a summer camp at a village school, organising some games and crafts for another large group of children from rural areas, and working in an orphanage.
Time is now running out if you plan to apply for one of our October short-term teams, so please do get your applications in quickly. Team options include Impact Cycling, Trekking, Mercy, Intercession and Leaders. Check out more details on our website at www.amccsm.org/short-term-teams or contact your local AM-CCSM office.
This month our new Antioch School of Missions (ASM) students will be arriving in China. During their first week, they will need to finalise their visas and get oriented to the city before the start of Chinese language and mission studies towards the end of the month. Please remember them as they say farewells to family and friends and then begin the process of adjusting to a new country and culture.
Please also continue to lift up all those involved in our literature ministry. Recently we placed a large order for 300,000 books, but our literature co-ordinator reports that, "This is nothing like enough to cover requests." He asks us to pray for substantial extra funds to come in to cover the current high demand for our books, as well as for safety in both the printing and dispatching of all our materials.
Please pray for the short-term mercy team now serving in China. Pray that they will be a real blessing to everyone they come into contact with.
Pray for the Lord's provision for those He is calling to come on the October short-term teams.
Pray for the new ASM students as they leave family and friends, and then settle into life in China.
Pray for protection over the printing and delivery of all our Christian teaching materials, and for substantial funds to enable us to respond to growing demand for these books.
Lord we pray that you will give this team Kingdom success as they serve you in this way
