The Best Gifts

The ongoing shortage of Christian literature in China is still very real.  Here we have some testimonies from some of the believers who have benefitted from our books...

"My mother called me and told me that the people in their church were so moved when they received those books. They feel so thankful that the Lord brought such nice books to such a remote place. It made them feel that the Lord cares for them. They had almost never seen this kind of books before. Mostly they just have a Bible. My mother said the books were the best gifts for her to give people. People from the church would like to thank the organisation that produces these books. Thank you!"

This lovely letter came from Sister Ji in Beijing, who had been able to arrange for some of our Christian teaching books to be delivered to her mother's hometown in North China. We are greatly encouraged when we receive feedback from those who have benefitted from our books and it helps us as we decide which books to print in the future. Our co-workers inside China are now in regular touch with church leaders across China who will tell us which books they need and which books have been a real blessing to their churches.

A number of contacts have reported that they are using our books as the basis of their training curriculum. One Bible school is based in a factory. The students work in the factory in the mornings and then take classes in the afternoons. Over 700 people have already graduated from the school, and currently they have 80 people taking classes, as well as 200 more who are taught by correspondence. Our teaching books are used by both the on-site and correspondence students.

Another contact has been regularly asking for more books. We have given him what we can, but it is simply not enough for all the believers. So they now have a system in place to try to meet the most urgent needs.

"Thank you for giving us those suitable tools for our work. We are like miners who have found hidden treasures," wrote another believer from central China.

Thank the Lord for the way AM-CCSM's Christian teaching books are now reaching so many different churches across the whole of China.

Lift up the believers mentioned in the text and others who have received our materials. Pray God's blessing upon them and ask that the blessing they have gained might be freely passed on to others.

Pray for protection for all those who are taking part in ‘underground' Bible training schools. May each one grow in their faith and go on to be an effective leader to others who are seeking to go deeper in the Lord.

Pray for ongoing provision of finance to enable us to meet more of the urgent need for Christian training materials across China.
