See China for Yourself!

Our first international teams of the year will be heading to China towards the end of next month.

If you're interested in participating but have not yet signed up, there may still be last minute places available on the mercy and intercession teams. Contact your base straight away if you would like further details.

If that is too last minute for you, then consider the October or January 2010 teams. In October we will offer courier, mercy and intercession options. And in January 2010 we have a combined courier/intercession option. Your local base office will send you details and exact dates on request.

These two to three week short-term teams provide a great opportunity to see China for yourself, as well as play a part in making a real difference for God's Kingdom. Listen to what some previous team members have shared and keep your ears open for what the Lord is saying to you!

"Overall a very successful trip. Due to the repacking we had to count the books. They totalled about 5,000 books per city. 10,000 during the course of the trip. If each one is read by five people, the team will have impacted the lives of 50,000 people! Not bad for a fortnight's work!" - Courier team member

"One afternoon we visited a man who lives in the orphanage and is bed bound. We put him in his wheelchair and the guys carried him down three flights of stairs and outside. He said it was the first time he had been outside in a year. He was so happy to be out in the sun." - Mercy team member

"Each day we went to another area to pray. We broke bread in the middle of a Buddhist Temple and the city square, at the top of mountains and places where the name of the Lord Jesus is not known. To pray in the homeland of a dark satanic power gives a feeling of the true power of our God and the great grace that He has shown us. Will I be going back, if the Lord wants me to go? It is a very positive YES." - Intercession team member

Pray for preparations now being made for next month's teams. Pray for the smooth booking of hotels, flights, trains, etc and that all necessary visas will be obtained. Pray too for good spiritual preparation for each participant and that many others would stand with them in prayer both in the lead-up and throughout the trip.

Pray for future teams due to take place later this year. Ask the Lord if you could have a role to play in going, encouraging others to go, or maybe supporting participants financially and/or in prayer. Every role is vital and each needs to play their part.

Pray for the Lord's clear guidance as we seek His will for next year's teams. We are looking at possibly running some new teams and offering slightly longer options. Do let us know if you have any suggestions that might help us.
