One of our Chinese co-workers encouraged us with the following story that took place in the recent New Year season: Her non-Christian nephews were helping to pack some books for our January courier team and picked up a Bible and some of the books for themselves. "We like the books," they said, "and we want our mum to read them."

Next day, ‘A', one of the nephews, visited our co-worker again and asked for some more books. He had been reading one while he helped his mum in her shop. When a customer came in and looked at the book, showing real interest in it, ‘A' had given him the copy. "That's the best new year's present I ever received!" the customer responded.

We join our co-worker in giving thanks to the Lord for this encouragement as to the unusual ways in which our books are being distributed and making an impact!

Our target for literature for 2010 is one million Christian teaching books plus 156,000 DVDs. Our co-worker says, "Our eyes need to be firmly on the Lord that He will supply, as He always has, for this crucial side of our ministry. Pray for new sources of funding and for the Lord's ongoing blessing on each of our donors. Continue to pray for the new books that are in the pipeline."

This month will see some important meetings taking place. Our China-based co-workers will gather together for their annual meetings during the Chinese New Year holiday. Last year, two participants described the get-together as "a great time of fellowship, teaching, refreshment and relaxation." We pray that this year will be the same! Before that gathering, there will be smaller meetings for those involved in our mercy ministry and for those in the leadership of our Antioch School of Missions (ASM). Then following the China workers get-together, AM-CCSM's Operations Team will be meeting for a couple of days. Please lift all these meetings up to the Lord.

Give thanks to the Lord for the many encouraging stories we hear of how the Christian teaching books printed by AM-CCSM are being used. Pray that these books will have an ongoing powerful impact in the lives of many people in China.

Pray for the Lord's provision as we aim for our new target of printing one million books and copying 156,000 DVDs during 2010.

Pray for good times of rest and relaxation for all our China-based co-workers during the Chinese New Year holiday. Pray particularly for the annual get-together taking place towards the end of the month, that it will be a real blessing to all who attend.

Remember too the meetings of AM-CCSM's Operations Team, the ASM leadership and the co-workers involved in our mercy ministry. May the Lord clearly guide and overrule in all the decisions that are made.
