A Successful Trip

We give thanks to the Lord for the safe delivery of large numbers of Bibles and Christian books by our January courier team. Contacts in three different cities were delighted to receive a good amount of materials.

From one city, the team members were invited out to a village in the countryside. There, they told us, "We found a church building - 120 years old - with a pastor and deacons and choir and some members. Somewhat unexpectedly, and very unusually, we were invited to preach in the morning, afternoon, and evening. ‘G' preached in the morning - we had lunch - ‘J' gave her testimony - had afternoon tea - ‘W' preached a strong salvation message - and the deacons took us to dinner at a restaurant."

Next day, "We again went on a two-hour drive to a village church. The congregation was about seven years old, and the pastor and co-workers told us they were discouraged, as they had had a fair level of disunity, along with some blessing. They were asking for teaching about assurance. The morning was spent with the pastor explaining their situation and needs; then we shared with them through the afternoon - all speaking at length about disunity and leadership. We finished with a long time of prayer for the folk there. Again, the teaching books were well appreciated."

"All round, an excellent trip and a great team!" the leader reported.

Praise God for another successful delivery of Christian materials to those who had requested them. Pray that each book delivered will prove to be a great blessing to those who read them.

Give thanks too for the opportunities to encourage believers in the various cities. Pray that all the team shared might continue to be a blessing for the believers, helping them to grow in their walk with the Lord.

Pray for many more to respond to God's call to bring His light and truth to the people of China through such short-term teams.
