Requests from China-based Co-Workers

Posted on 25 April 2010.

"We spent the night with a Tibetan brother who had recently believed. He and his daughter had been for medical treatment in the city and were taken in by Christians. We had a very precious time with him on the mountain behind his home, sharing communion and stories of what Jesus had done.

His dream is to move out of his father-in-law's place and build his own house. He wants his own place to honour Jesus and to open it up to his community to be a place of worship, free from idols and demonic control. We had the opportunity to pray over the land he hopes to build on. Please remember this courageous brother as he faces enormous opposition." - ‘M & L'

"One of the things we would ask you to stand in prayer with us for is for local Chinese workers to come alongside of us. We hope to be able to train, equip and teach some people spiritually, so that they can be of help to us. We are asking Father to bring a divine appointment with the people whom He has prepared for this work." - ‘C'

"While in Hong Kong we incorporated a company that we can continue trading through. At the moment we are looking to start a China-based company that will provide visas. We are currently putting a business plan together, which we hope to use to secure investment into the project. We would appreciate your prayers in doing this." - ‘N & K'

"I have been spending a lot of time assessing old folks for the homecare service that we are starting up alongside the day centre. We need to employ one more carer to carry the current case load, so please do pray that the right person for the job would come along and that we would have wisdom in who to select for the job. I have also done a few more hospital visits to write up rehab plans for stroke patients. This is a difficult task as stroke assessments are very complex and trying to carry them out in a different language and culture presents a lot of problems! Please pray for wisdom and sensitivity as I do this and that the rehab plans would be suitable and effective." - ‘J'

Pray for the Tibetan believer mentioned by ‘M & L' who wants to build a home and open it to his community as a place of worship.

Pray for the need mentioned by ‘C' for local Chinese workers to stand with our co-workers.

Pray for ‘N & K' as they put together a business plan and seek investment to enable them to register a company in China as a platform for their ministry.

Pray for ‘J' as she sets up rehab plans for stroke patients. Remember too the need for the right carer for the homecare service.
