United Kingdom Base News
It is good to be able to write to you at the start of this new year. I trust you had a wonderful Christmas and that you are now looking forward to this new year and expecting great things.
I really would like to thank you for your continued support throughout last year. It was a difficult year for us here in the UK base. We struggled somewhat with ill health and then sadly Rosemary's husband died in November after battling for over twelve months with a brain tumour. We have so much appreciated your prayers over this time. The difficult financial times we are living in haven't helped us, but we press on with what the Lord has called us to do.
Thank you to all who have given financially. To those who have given anonymously, please take this as a thank you, as we are unable to write to you.
Although a difficult year, the Lord has been good to us. We have still managed to print and distribute one million books, as well as distribute hundreds of thousands of DVDs and thousands of Bibles. Our mercy work thrives and we have now opened our third foster home.
So what does 2012 hold for us? You can read more information on our literature programme in Day Four. We will also continue to care for the babies and young children in our foster homes as well as supporting children through our sponsorship programmes. One area we would like you to pray about is teams. We would love to see more people join us on teams. It is of course more expensive now due to the increase in costs of flights and accommodation, but please don't let that put you off. I firmly believe that if the Lord wants you to join a team, He will provide the finance for you to go. We have heard many wonderful testimonies of how the Lord has provided; all you have to do is ask. We have also introduced a new team - the ‘Come and See' team. This is a wonderful opportunity to come and see different areas of our ministry in China. A chance not to be missed. Contact the office for more details.

Our student from the UK has just completed his Mini ASM and will be returning home after our annual gathering this month. Please pray for him as he adjusts to life back home.
I would value your prayers as I join our in-China workers and other staff at our annual meeting. I will be leaving the UK on 7th January and will be away for two weeks.
